Meet SHEBO, a talented female artist hailing from the vibrant streets of Detroit. When it comes to her unique artist name, even SHEBO herself admits she can’t quite recall the exact moment of its inception. As an artist who once roamed the bustling streets of New York City, creating spontaneous art and leaving her mark, the name simply seemed to materialize out of the creative ether. In this blog post, we’ll dive into SHEBO’s artistry and explore the mystery behind her captivating artistry.
Money Mason: “What initially sparked your interest in pursuing a career in music? Were there any particular experiences or moments that inspired you?”
SHEBO: “I have always been a artist and I will always be one. Whether it’s music, photography, fashion, painting, etc.. I’m just super right brained. I started with violin and just taught myself to play the piano. I really love classical music and my dad used to play. Beethoven lol. I had this really cool friend who could hear any song and just play on my piano. He inspired me. You can play Gucci Mane or Waka Flocka. He would just turn it to the keys. I always wanted to learn how to play electric guitar and the cello and def the drums. I also wanted to be the next Beyoncé at one point LMAO I used to learn all her dances.
What I have noticed is the longer a beat marinates in my email. The better the song turns out to be. I know producers be mad as fuck like I sent that be two years ago but sometimes you just gotta sit on some stuff but I’ll just listen to it 1000 times write down a few words about what I want to say then freestyle the rest. Sometimes I have a a mental layout on how I want to structure the song but most of the time I’m just winging it.
If you wait around until you get inspired, things will never get done. You have to create discipline. I get inspired by results. It’s some thing. I’m working on right now is being consistent. Because I’ll never be inspired by no progress. I like fast pace environments and Crazy shit, so if I’m feeling stagnant, I’ll take a trip. When I’m in cali, i be going to Malibu or somewhere far off and decked out. I also be inspired by luxury. Everything soft everything Venus.”
Money Mason: What challenges have you faced as a musical artist, and how have you overcome them? Are there any lessons you’ve learned along the way
SHEBO: Everybody always got something to say about somebody else because they too scared to be creative or lack originality. You got to have thick skin, and you Gotta be prepared for backlash and hate. The biggest lesson at everything is self love. Most of the time it really is you versus everybody and that’s OK.
Money Mason: Dream collaborations ?
SHEBO: Future. Old Gucci Baby Smoove and Babyfaceray. MAREU. Producer wise. metro would be fye
Money Mason: Is there a particular song or project that holds special significance to you? Can you share the story behind it?
SHEBO: Probably this song I did called KODEINE I took it off all streaming platforms, but I think it’s still on SoundCloud. It got played on the radio that meant a lot to me.
