MONEY MASON: What challenges have you faced as a musical artist, and how have you overcome them? Are there any lessons you’ve learned along the way Jaylanie: Being an artist is not easy. Especially a female in a male dominated Industry. I feel like guys don’t care about your talent or how special u may be or what u bring to the table. A lot of them are just like are u giving up the Pussy if not then fuck u. It’s really discouraging. I was so naive in LA, and I learned alot about how to conduct myself as a woman. U never wanna be too friendly, don’t talk to much don’t and trust nobody, stand on business, don’t be afraid to speak up when something feels wrong in your heart.
MONEY MASON: What role does music play in your life beyond the professional aspect? How does it personally affect you? Jaylanie: Music Is a coping mechanism for me. I love listening to music that I’m relating to at the moment. I like sad music a lot. I’m very much an alternative underground and r&b music girlie. You would be surprised how different my playlist is from the music I actually make. One day I wanna tap into other genres |

Wether that’s at home, by your friends or even your situation. You have to always remember why you started. Let your passion drive you through the obstacles. And DONT LOOK AT NOBODYS SUCCESS AND COMPARE YOURSELF!!! What God has for you is for you and what he has for them is entirely different. Everything looks good on instagram don’t be fooled by the hype.
