MONEY MASON: What initially sparked your interest in pursuing a career in music? Were there any particular experiences or moments that inspired you? Grewwy Montana: Growing up in church I was already fascinated by music at a young age. As well as acting in plays, I felt a callin for the limelight. That’s what probably got me into TV. As for music I vividly remember another student in my eighth grade class passing out CDs with music that he and his brother mixed and mastered themselves. After seeing the positive feedback he got from everyone around campus, I thought to myself “I can do that shit..” and went home and downloaded a DAW called Mixcraft, plugged in my Guitar Hero microphone and the rest was history. MONEY MASON: How important is it for you to connect with your audience on an emotional level through your music? What impact do you hope to have on your listeners? Grewwy Montana: The same way music saved my life in a way I hope that my music can do the same for others. We never know what anyone’s going through or what people need to hear to keep them going and I hope that there can be some form of message in any of my songs that can be the driving force for a person to keep going in life. MONEY MASON: Whats next for you? Grewwy Montana: Im getting into acting more now as I’m in the third season of the TV series called “Reckless Behavior.” written and directed by Michaela P. Shelton. I don’t want to give away too much but go watch the first two seasons on Tubi! |
